Thursday, 7 June 2018, 19:00 – 23:00, basement
The Futurium Lab, as the first part of the Futurium to enter its test mode, will be giving a foretaste of what is to come in 2019. Inspired by the concept of the Fab Lab, participatory formats will take place here for visitors of all ages. The Futurium Lab makes new technologies, ideas and knowledge about the future accessible – with the major emphasis on “DIY” (Do it yourself), open source and co-design. Experience the Showcase with its interactive installations or learn more about the work in a laboratory by using the 3D printer, laser cutter, CNC milling machine and robot arm available for projects.
Talk to the artists, designers, scientists, pedagogues and the Futurium staff involved in developing the Futurium Lab. This evening will offer you the chance both to gain insights into the development process at our interactive laboratory and to give us your feedback. In this way you can find out, among other things, what design has to do with shaping the future or how to transform your own ideas of the future into prototypes.
Contributors to the evening: Education Innovation Lab, Master of Arts Programme in Futures Studies at Freie Universität Berlin, Berliner Ideenlabor, STATE, Pitchtuner and many more.
Admission is free. The event will be held in German.
