Guidance systems are a key component of every public building. They are almost invisible when they work, highly conspicuous if they don’t: guidance systems are made up of all signs, notes, pictograms and arrows that help visitors find their way around museums, for example.
The Futurium had a guidance system tailor-made at the end of 2018. And it was literally tailored for the institution, as the custom font ‘Futurium Type’ is a key element. Futurium’s guidance system is both visible and invisible. The design, which was customised for the building and its architecture, is a real eye-catcher. However, it is also intended to ensure that visitors can find what they are looking for effortlessly.
The Futurium’s guidance system was developed with agency Heine Lenz Zizka (HLZ), and produced and fitted by carpentry firm Kohl.
